MOWRAM Calls for Vigilance of Strong Winds and High Waves

The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) has urged people living at the coastal areas, fishermen, and seafarers to be careful of strong winds and high waves which would occur from Oct. 7 to 9.

The appeal was made in the ministry’s new announcement on weather forecast issued this morning.

Moreover, it added, as more rain is expected to come across Cambodia during the same period, MOWRAM called for continued vigilance of possible phenomena like thunder, lightning, and gusts, especially for those living in lowland areas near waterways and in mountainous areas.

Between Oct. 7 to 13, the source pointed out, the temperature would vary between 22 and 30 degrees Celsius for the central lowland areas, from 22 to 29 degrees Celsius for the mountainous areas in the north and northeast, and in the coastal areas.
