MOWRAM Issues Fog Warning for Cambodia from Jan. 22-31

Phnom penh: The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) has issued a public notice warning of foggy weather conditions across Cambodia from January 22 to January 31, 2026, based on its monitoring, analysis, and forecasting of weather patterns.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the notice released last night indicates that temperatures are expected to drop during this period. This will be accompanied by fog affecting several regions, including the southern central lowlands, plateau areas, mountainous regions, as well as coastal and seaside zones.

The fog is expected to be most intense at night and in the early morning, gradually dissipating by around 9:00 a.m. each day. This phenomenon may cause reduced visibility, potentially impacting road users and travellers.

In light of these conditions, MOWRAM has called on the public and local authorities to exercise high vigilance to avoid possible risks or disruptions resulting from reduced visibility. The Ministry added that it will continue to closely monitor and analyse weather conditions and will provide further updates should there be any changes.
