Newly Constructed Solidarity Palace Set for Inauguration

Phnom penh: The Solidarity Palace, the newly constructed Senate building in Cambodia, is ready to commence operations following a religious ceremony presided over by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, the President of the Senate, and his spouse, Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen. The ceremony took place this morning and included the participation of nine Buddhist monks who were invited to chant blessings for the building.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Solidarity Palace is set for an official inauguration under the royal presidency of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia. The building's construction began on August 9, 2024, and was funded through donations from charitable donors, symbolizing a strong sense of unity and support.

The four-story Solidarity Palace spans 79 meters by 47 meters. Its ground floor accommodates a library, staff room, bodyguard command room, and server room. The first floor is designed to host large events, featuring a hall for official welcome ceremonies, a banquet hall, a press conference room, a multi-purpose room, and a waiting room.

The second floor is equipped with offices, a bilateral meeting room, a reception hall, resting rooms, and a standing committee meeting room, while the third floor includes a large meeting room, a technical room, and a waiting room.
