Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has appealed to all stakeholders to strictly follow the preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic.
“In the second phase of school reopening, I would like to appeal to the school management team, teachers and students to firmly adhere to the implementation of health safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, especially to continue reminding the students to often wash their hands with soap or alcohol-based or gel-based sanitizers, wear facemasks and to follow the instructions of the Ministry of Health,” the Premier underlined in a Facebook post this morning.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also thanked the management of all public and private educational institutions for joining the Royal Government in the fight against COVID-19 to ensure the safety of students, education staff, parents and the whole community.
State schools are reopened yesterday after having closed for about six months in order to contain and prevent the COVID-19 spread.
As of this morning, the total COVID-19 confirmed cases in Cambodia remain at 274, after zero new case has been detected for eight days in a row. Of them 273 or 99.64 percent have been recovered.
