Prime Minister of Commonwealth of Dominica Begins Working Visit in Cambodia

Phnom penh: The Honorable Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, arrived in Phnom Penh this morning for a working visit to Cambodia until October 10, 2025. The Dominican leader was welcomed at the Techo International Airport in Kandal province by H.E. Sok Soken, Minister of Inspection, as Minister-in-Attendance, alongside several senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC).

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the visit, the Honorable Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit will pay a courtesy call on Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State and President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Honorable Prime Minister will also engage in a bilateral meeting with Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Peace Palace. The two leaders will discuss strengthening relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries. Following the meeting, they will witness the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Bilateral Consultations between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs.

'The Working Visit of the Honorable Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit to the Kingdom of Cambodia will further strengthen the bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two nations and peoples,' the MFAIC highlighted in a statement.

The Commonwealth of Dominica, a 750-square-kilometer island nation in the Caribbean, has a population of approximately 71,293. Its capital city is Roseau. Diplomatic relations between Dominica and Cambodia were established on April 27, 2010.
