Pursat:The Ministry of Commerce has officially registered 'Pursat Orange' as a collective mark, enhancing the Cambodian product's identity and facilitating its recognition in both domestic and international markets. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the registration was finalized on September 9, 2026, as announced in a news release by the Ministry of Commerce. This collective mark aims to protect the intellectual property rights of Pursat Orange growers and traders in Pursat province. The fruit is known for its sweet-and-sour taste and can have a green, yellow, or deep yellow skin, with either a smooth or slightly rough texture. The fruit's segments range from soft and juicy to firm with more flesh. Pursat Orange is cultivated over an area of 3,047 hectares, with 1,938 hectares currently harvested, yielding approximately 29,881 tonnes annually. The harvesting season extends from June to November each year, with an average yield of 12 to 16 tonnes per hectare.
