Phnom penh: The Techo Startup Centre (TSC) concluded the forward Pitch Day of the Reverse Innovation Cohort 5 (RI5) on Nov. 27, awarding five outstanding startups. The event was presided over by H.E. Dr. Taing Nguonly, TSC Executive Director, with participation from programme partners and distinguished guests.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the programme was organised by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Techo Startup Centre, with co-organisers including the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation and Khmer Enterprise, and ABA Bank as Diamond Sponsor. Seven startup teams presented their business solutions before the judging panel selected the top performers.
We Gro Up earned the Challenge Champion Award with a prize of 40 million Riel (about US$10,000). Kotluy for Biz and EVantage each received the Strategic Insight Award worth 25 million Riel (US$6,250), and Prohose Official and ShopiLink were granted the Emerging Innovator Award, receiving 15 million Riel (US$3,750) each.
Reverse Innovation Cohort 5 is a three-month accelerator programme supporting startups in developing innovative solutions informed by sector experts.
