Royal Group Launches Feasibility Study for Agri-Industrial Park in Kampong Thom Province

Kampong thom: The Kampong Thom Provincial Administration and the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone Plc. have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to initiate a feasibility study for the establishment of an agri-industrial park in the Kampong Thom province. The agreement was signed on January 7 by Kampong Thom Provincial Governor H.E. Nuon Pharath and Mr. UEMATSU Hiroshi, Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Group Phnom Penh SEZ Plc., in the presence of H.E. Dr. Mey Kalyan, Senior Advisor to the Supreme National Economic Council.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Governor Nuon Pharath emphasized that the newly launched feasibility study is intended to complement an existing project focused on a Cashew Nut Processing Industrial Park. He stated that the MoU aims to facilitate the processing of a wide range of agricultural goods, excluding cashew nuts.

Mr. UEMATSU Hiroshi highlighted the company's commitment to working with the Provincial Administration and the Royal Government of Cambodia. The goal of this collaboration is to diversify and enhance the provincial economy, ultimately improving the economic conditions and livelihoods of the local population.
