The rubber production rose by 20 percent in January this year, to 29,203 tons, figure from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries shows.
Last month, Cambodia exported some 27,445 tons of rubber to foreign markets, mainly to Vietnam, Malaysia, and China.
The report stated that the average price of rubber in January was US$1,433 per ton, up 17 percent compared with the same period of 2019.
Currently, Cambodia has a total of 405,916 hectares of rubber plantations, of which 250,434 hectares are ready for harvest.
Last year, the Kingdom exported nearly 300,000 tons of rubber to foreign markets, generating US$400 million as income.
