Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng Delivers Essential Supplies to Border Military Commands

Battambang: Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng, Member of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King and Member of the National Assembly for Battambang Province Constituency, presided over a ceremony to deliver essential food supplies and logistical aid to the 4th and 5th Military Region Commands. The event, held at the Battambang Provincial Hall on Jan. 24, was conducted alongside Provincial Governor H.E. Sok Lou.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the initiative aims to bolster the welfare of frontline personnel and support the administration's ongoing humanitarian efforts for communities along the border. Governor Sok Lou provided a comprehensive briefing on the regional situation, expressing deep appreciation for Samdech Sar Kheng's continued dedication. He noted that the Supreme Privy Council remains a steadfast advocate for the well-being of frontline troops and has been instrumental in providing relief to civilians previously displaced by Thai troop incursions.

Addressing the military leadership, Samdech Sar Kheng conveyed official greetings and high regards from Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, and Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet. In his keynote remarks, Samdech Sar Kheng praised the synergy between the provincial administration-led by Governor Sok Lou and Provincial Council Chairman Uy Ry-and the armed forces. He highlighted their successful efforts in establishing secure zones for residents in border districts, ensuring a consistent supply of essential provisions to displaced populations, and maintaining a disciplined defence of national territorial integrity.

"We owe a debt of gratitude to the commanders and soldiers of all regions, particularly those stationed along the Cambodian-Thai border, for their tireless sacrifices in safeguarding our sovereignty," Samdech Sar Kheng stated. As a representative of the Battambang constituency, Samdech Sar Kheng also extended his thanks to the private donors and philanthropists whose contributions have fueled these relief efforts. He emphasised that aid continues to be distributed through the provincial administration and the Sar Kheng Humanitarian Team to ensure a rapid response to the needs of both the military and the local populace.
