Hanoi: A high-level Cambodian delegation led by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), departed this morning for Hanoi to participate in Vietnam's commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. The event, set for September 1-2, 2025, was organized at the invitation of H.E. To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Techo Hun Sen is accompanied by leading figures such as Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Member of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King and CPP Vice President; Samdech Kitti Sangahapundit Men Sam An, Member of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King, CPP Vice President and President of the National Council of the Solidarity Front for the Development of Cambodia Motherland; alongside senior leaders from various ministries, institutions, and the Cambodian legislative body.
During the visit, the Senate President will engage in separate meetings with key Vietnamese leaders, including CPV General Secretary H.E. To Lam, H.E. Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly, and H.E. Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister. Meetings with other foreign leaders attending the celebration are also on the agenda.
This trip represents Samdech Techo Hun Sen's third visit to Vietnam in 2025 as Senate President and CPP President, highlighting Cambodia's dedication to strengthening mutual trust and deepening ties of friendship and cooperation with its neighboring countries. The visit reaffirms the leadership's commitment to pursuing peace, stability, and sustainable development, consistent with the principles of 'good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term stability.'
