Samdech Techo Hun Sen Praises Kampong Speu Officials for Public Service Delivery and Maintaining Social Order

Kampong speu: Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has commended civil servants in Kampong Speu province for their dedication to delivering public services and maintaining security and social order. The remarks were made during a meeting with 962 provincial, municipal, district, commune, and Sangkat council members, as well as leaders of relevant departments, held at the Kampong Speu Provincial Hall on Saturday morning.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Techo expressed his pleasure at meeting local officials once again, noting that Kampong Speu is the third province he has visited as part of his outreach to civil servants. On the occasion, he also announced plans to construct a large meeting hall for the Cambodian People's Party in the near future.

He recalled that Kampong Speu played a significant role in the implementation of the 'Win-Win Policy,' which contributed to ending Cambodia's civil war and securing lasting peace. Today, the province is among those with the highest number of factories and enterprises in the country.

Samdech Techo urged civil servants, particularly at the grassroots level, to continue fulfilling their duties in serving the nation and the people more effectively, with a focus on delivering timely and efficient public services and avoiding issues that could cause public dissatisfaction.

He also called for continued efforts to maintain national stability and social security through the implementation of the 'Safe Village-Commune' policy, including crackdowns on crimes such as snatching, robbery, and drug trafficking. At the same time, he expressed support for the government's measures to address youth delinquency and instructed authorities to resolve land disputes promptly and fairly, especially through out-of-court mechanisms.

In addition, Samdech Techo emphasized prudent macroeconomic management amid rising fuel prices, encouraging savings on non-essential expenditures. He also urged continued attention to veterans and retirees through community engagement and support programs.

According to a report by Provincial Governor H.E. Cheam Chansophorn, Kampong Speu has seen rapid development in infrastructure, tourism, and investment sectors. In 2025, the province received 126 investment projects valued under US$5 million, and as of April 2026, an additional 35 such projects have been recorded.
