Phnom penh: Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has extended his sincere condolences over the loss of H.E. Jose de Venecia Jr., the Founding and Emeritus Chairman of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) and Former Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Hun Sen expressed his profound sorrow in a condolence message addressed to H.E. Ms. Gina de Venecia, the spouse of H.E. Jose de Venecia Jr. He recognized Jose de Venecia as a prominent statesman and visionary parliamentarian. Hun Sen highlighted the impact of de Venecia's work with ICAPP and acknowledged his significant contributions to fostering international cooperation among political parties across Asia.
Hun Sen, on behalf of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), which has a member serving as Vice-Chairman of ICAPP, conveyed his deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the de Venecia family. He emphasized that Cambodia would always cherish de Venecia's support, friendship, and wisdom, noting that his passing is not only a personal loss for the family but also for the entire ICAPP community and all who worked alongside him.
