Senior Minister Kun Kim Delivers PM Hun Manet’s Gifts to Over 700 Refugee Families in Preah Vihear

Preah vihear: H.E. Kitti Sangahapundit Kun Kim, Senior Minister and First Vice-President of the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM), today distributed humanitarian gifts from Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet to 774 displaced families at a safety centre in Kampong Sralao 1 commune, Preah Vihear province.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Kun Kim, representing the NCDM, expressed gratitude to Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet for his attention and monitoring of displaced persons' well-being across the country. He emphasized the Royal Government of Cambodia's commitment, under Hun Manet's leadership, to prioritize the welfare of displaced citizens, directing all ministries and authorities to focus on their needs as they potentially arrive from border areas.

The Senior Minister stressed that while armed forces defend territorial integrity, the government focuses on ensuring the safety and security of citizens in safety centres. He instructed provincial authorities to be ready to accommodate more displaced persons from border regions, emphasizing the importance of providing continuous food supply, essentials, healthcare, and maintaining security in the centres.

The gifts from Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet to each displaced family included 50 kg of rice, a large carton of instant noodles, a large carton of canned fish, and cash support.
