IPOH, In a bid to promote Visit Perak Year (TMP) 2024, Star Vendors Event Sdn Bhd has selected the Indera Mulia Stadium here as the 14th venue for the StarVendors Perak Foodstival 2023, which started today.
Star Vendors Event founder Datuk Saripah Raziah Mustapha, or better known as Ifa Raziah, said more than 40 celebrities and entrepreneurs in various sectors such as fashion, beauty, health, travel, food and beverages took part in the three-day event, which is expected to attract more than 500,000 visitors.
She said the main objective of the event was to highlight Perak as a family tourism destination, in addition to boosting collaboration with various parties in an effort to promote TMP 2024.
'This event also serves as an exclusive platform for local entrepreneurs and celebrities to market their products,' she said in a statement today.
Ifa Raziah said among the celebrities participating in the festival are Datuk Norman Abdul Halim, Datuk Nora Ariffin, Noraniza Idris, Datuk Seri Vida, Zarina Zainuddin, Salina Saibi, Serina Redzuwan, Reen Rahim, Nadia Brian, Fauzi Nawawi, Lisdawati, Tiz Zaqyah and Eira Aziera.
She added that a number of interesting events have been lined up for visitors, including the Women to Women talk show, a beauty pageant for kids, the Starvoice Karaoke competition, as well as special performances by Ukay's Qalam Band and Pretty Ugly.
Open from 11 am till midnight, the StarVendors Perak Foodstival 2023, will also feature a high-powered motorcycle show and convoy as well as a fireworks display on New Year's Eve.
Ifa Raziah expressed hope that the StarVendors Perak Foodstival will become an annual event on the state's tourism calendar.
