According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the petitions emphasize that since December 7, 2025, the Thai armed forces have carried out intense and indiscriminate attacks. Utilizing heavy artillery, F-16 and T-50TH fighter aircraft, and other weapons, these attacks have targeted Cambodian civilians in the border provinces. The assaults have resulted in loss of life, injuries among civilians, and substantial damage to public infrastructure, including schools and hospitals, as well as residential properties. The violent actions have displaced hundreds of thousands of people and disrupted the education of many children, undermining their right to learn.
The petitions argue that these aggressive actions by the Thai military represent a breach of international standards and agreements. They point out that the actions violate the Charter of the United Nations, the ASEAN Charter, international human rights and humanitarian laws, and the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.
