STRONG BELIEF IN TAWHID CRUCIAL TO WARD OFF SUPERSTITIONS, BLACK MAGIC

KANGAR, A strong belief in Tawhid (belief in the oneness of Allah) plays a role as an antidote in the context of superstitions and black magic, which is crucial in eliminating all forms of superstition and black magic that can damage the faith of Muslims in this day and age. Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, said that a strong belief in Tawhid not only strengthens individual faith but also protects Muslims from the harmful effects of superstitions and black magic which lead to deviations from the true path of Islam. 'Therefore, Muslims who truly understand and have faith will not be exposed to superstitions or resort to black magic as a solution to their problems. 'With a strong belief in Tawhid, individuals are encouraged to place their trust and reliance solely in Allah, seek His help through sincere prayers, and adhere to His guidance,' he said. Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra said this while closing the Perlis International Sunnah Convention 2024 at Dewan 2020 here today. Also present was the Mufti of Perlis Datuk Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin. He also welcomed the attendees and speakers at the convention and recommended they explore various tourist destinations and local delicacies in Perlis in conjunction with the Visit Perlis Year 2024-2025. 'Enjoy the scenery, the beauty of Perlis' flora and fauna, and capture as many pictures or videos as possible as souvenirs,' he said. Meanwhile, Mohd Asri, speaking to reporters after the ceremony, said that over 4,000 local and international visitors attended the two-day convention, themed, Light of Tawheed, which started yesterday and was held for the first time. 'The convention featured six internationally renowned speakers. Alhamdulillah, the convention received overwhelming support with the attendance of visitors from 36 foreign countries including Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and Sudan,' he said.
