Phnom penh: The Thai military has employed every means available to unlawfully invade Cambodia, yet the nation has responded with decisive action against these acts of aggression, H.E. Pen Bona, Head of the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit, stated during a press briefing this afternoon.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, over the past 19 days, the Thai military has not only deployed various types of modern, heavy weaponry but has also engaged in psychological warfare against Cambodia. These efforts, however, have not succeeded in their objectives, as highlighted by H.E. Pen Bona.
H.E. Pen Bona added that Thai forces have utilized both official and unofficial media channels to disseminate false and exaggerated information. He explained that these tactics are intended to deceive their own citizens for political gain, discourage Cambodian defence forces, and fracture the unified spirit of the Cambodian people. However, he noted that the Cambodian populace has not fallen into the trap of such psychological operations.
He further emphasized that Cambodians from all walks of life have united to defend the nation's territory, honour, and dignity. This great unity serves as a tribute to the brave Cambodian armed forces currently resisting the invasion.
