Thai Military Launches Airstrikes against Cambodia’s Pursat Province

Phnom penh: The Ministry of National Defence reported that the Thai military launched airstrikes on Veal Veng district, Pursat province, this morning.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, between 11:01 a.m. and 11:16 a.m. on Dec. 20, Thai military forces deployed F16 fighter jets to bombard the area, dropping three bombs on a casino hotel situated near the Chey Chumneas border crossing. Meanwhile, two other bombs were dropped on Stung Kach Primary School, located in Thmar Da commune of the same district.

'The aforementioned actions constitute an indiscriminate attack by the Thai military and represent a serious violation of international humanitarian law,' the Ministry emphasised.
