Timor-Leste Ambassador Appreciated Cambodia’s COVID-19 Containment and Response

H.E. Ermenegildo Kupa Lopes, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to Cambodia, has expressed his appreciation of the country’s efforts in containing and responding to COVID-19 pandemic.

The ambassador shared the impression when received recently by the Minister of Health H.E. Mam Bunheng at the ministry office here in Phnom Penh.

Thanks to the Royal Government’s effective measures, Cambodia has cured almost all patients and no death by the disease, he stressed.

He also spoke highly of Cambodia’s remarkable economic performance for the last two decades under the leadership of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

From his part, H.E. Mam Bunheng demonstrated warm hospitality and congratulations on the newly assigned role of the Timor-Leste Ambassador in Cambodia.

Both sides looked forward to further fostering bilateral relationship, particularly on health sector such as mutual capacity building and student exchange.
