Cebu: H.E. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, will lead a delegation to attend the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026, the 29th ASEAN Tourism Ministers Meeting, and related meetings from Jan. 27 to 31 in Cebu, the Republic of the Philippines. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026 is organized under the theme "Navigating Our Future, Together" with participation from tourism ministers of ASEAN member countries, as well as representatives from China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, India, Russia, and several key ASEAN partner institutions. During the ASEAN Tourism Forum, H.E. Minister will attend the 29th ASEAN Tourism Ministers Meeting, the 25th ASEAN Plus Three Tourism Ministers Meeting with China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, the 13th ASEAN-India Tourism Ministers Meeting, and the 5th ASEAN-Russia Tourism Ministers' Meeting. These meetings will review progress, set future directions, and adopt several key documents, particularly the ASEAN Tourism Sectoral Plan 2026-2030. On this occasion, H.E. Minister will hold bilateral meetings with tourism ministers and leaders from ASEAN member states and heads of ASEAN partner institutions to strengthen cooperation and promote more tourist flow to Cambodia. Furthermore, Cambodia will receive six ASEAN tourism awards categories, including five ASEAN Clean Tourist City Awards, five ASEAN Green Hotel Awards, two ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Awards, five ASEAN MICE Meeting Room Awards, five ASEAN MICE Exhibition Venue Awards, and five ASEAN MICE Event Venue Awards from ASEAN. Additionally, the Ministry of Tourism will lead the private sector and tourism operators to participate in the Travel Exchange (TRAVEX), with expectations to attract 850 attendees, 100 media representatives, 350 exhibition booths, and 250 seller companies.
