Tourism Ministry Looks to Digital Tools for Expanded Overseas Promotion

Phnom penh: The Ministry of Tourism (MoT) is moving to strengthen Cambodia's presence in international tourism markets by expanding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools in its overseas marketing and promotional efforts, according to a Ministry's statement released on Jan. 20.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak, who chaired a meeting on Jan. 19, stated that the increased emphasis on AI technology is intended to enhance the effectiveness of Cambodia's tourism promotion abroad. This initiative aims to improve market research, enable more precise targeting of promotional campaigns, and strengthen digital outreach.

The Minister highlighted that the increased focus on AI technology is specifically targeted at enhancing the marketing and promotion of Cambodian tourism in international markets. He also expressed his appreciation and high commendation for officials at all levels for their dedication, hard work, and sacrifices over the past period, noting that these efforts have contributed to tangible achievements in the tourism sector.
