He is currently Chairman of his own international private management consultancy, The Dunn Group, where he is involved in a number of consulting projects ranging from technology to minerals & mining to sales & marketing to finance and international trade. From that role he brings a wealth of both technology experience and management & financial consulting experience as well as a substantial network of contacts in the sales & marketing and financial sectors.

His relationship with the resources industry goes back to the days of his father who was an executive and manager for many years working with INCO and Sherritt International. His interests in, and experience with, the Canadian natural resources industry continues to this day culminating in this most recent appointment.

332,000 of Japan-donated 1 Million Doses of AstraZeneca Arrive in Phnom Penh

The first batch of 332,000 doses of Japan-donated AstraZeneca vaccine arrived at Phnom Penh International Airport tonight.

The handover-receiving ceremony took place at the airport under the presidency of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Mikami Masahiro.

Japan has recently announced to donate some 1 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, which Japan is licensed to produce, to support the Royal Government of Cambodia's efforts to defeat COVID-19 as well as help to relieve some of the anxieties of the Cambodian people.

To date, the Japanese Government has provided a total of more than US$50 million worth assistance to Cambodia. This includes the donation of medical equipment, the renovation of hospitals, support for infection prevention measures at the borders through international organisations, and equipment to properly carry and store vaccines. It has also provided a loan of approximately US$227 million, which is being used to provide cash benefit to people affected by COVID-19 and to strengthen the medical care provision system.

With the newly arrived vaccines, Cambodia has received in total nearly 18 million doses of vaccines through purchase and donations: 6.2 million doses of Sinopharm, 10.5 million doses of Sinovac, and 656,000 doses of AstraZeneca.

The Kingdom has set to vaccinate around 10 million people or 62 percent of the total population against COVID-19 and the target is expected to achieve by November this year.

As of yesterday, 6,454,601 adult people have got their first jab, or 64.55 percent of the planned 10 million people for the vaccination, among them 4,304,932 have been fully vaccinated.

Cambodian PM to Preside over the Launch of COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign for Younger Citizens

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen will preside over the launch of the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 for the children aged between 12 and 17 years old to be held at Calmette Hospital on Aug. 1.

The Premier made the announcement while presiding over the handover-receiving ceremony of 332,000 of Japan-donated 1 million doses of AstraZeneca, at Phnom Penh International Airport tonight.

After the launch, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will also give a press conference.

The vaccination of younger citizens will start from Phnom Penh capital, he underlined, adding that when we have enough vaccines, the provinces can conduct the vaccination both for adults and children at the same time.

According to the Prime Minister, there are around 2 million children between 12 and 17 years old in Cambodia.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen once again called on all parents and guardians to be ready to bring their children to get vaccinated against COVID-19 so as to build community immunity for socio-economic resumption.

PM: Cambodia’s Goal is to Vaccinate 80% of Total Population

The goal of Cambodia is to vaccinate about 80 percent of the total population of 16 million, affirmed Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen in his remarks at the handover-receiving ceremony of 332,000 of Japan-donated 1 million doses of AstraZeneca, at Phnom Penh International Airport tonight.

With the 10 million adults, whose vaccination campaign is expected to end not later than October this year, and the 2 million children aged between 12 and 17 years old, whose vaccination will begin on Aug. 1, Cambodia's vaccination coverage will reach 75 percent, he said.

"If we vaccinate 13 million people, the coverage will rise to 81.5 percent," he added. "At all costs, we will look for ways to find vaccines for all Cambodians reaching the age of vaccination and being allowed to get vaccinated by the medical team."

The first priority is the right to life, not the freedom of expression, Samdech Techo Hun Sen underlined, continuing that he did not care who criticises the Cambodian laws because the laws have been made to protect the people's lives.

The Premier expressed his gratitude to the Government and people of Japan for their material and financial support for Cambodia in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister took the opportunity to remind all relevant ministries and institutions to continue enforcing the Royal Government's preventing measures with high accountability in order to ensure the people's health and safety, and re-appealed to the public to stick to the "3 Dos, 3 Don'ts" measure even though they have already been vaccinated against the COVID-19.

DALI University Scholarships Opened for Cambodian Students

DALI University of the People's Republic of China is granting scholarships for Cambodian students interested in pursuing undergraduate degree for the academic year 2021-2022.

The opening was circulated recently by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, noting that it offers ten seats for high performing Cambodian students.

Awarded students will receive full support for accommodation fee and some stipend during their studies in China.

According to the Cambodian Students Association in the People's Republic of China, there are over 2,000 Cambodian studying in the country, and about 300 graduated annually.

Ministry Acknowledges Hard work of Forest Rangers

Ministry of Environment has acknowledged the hard work of the Cambodian forest rangers, including those who are female.

The ministry has publicly recognised them recently stressing their courage and national conscience to preserve Cambodia's natural resources.

Cambodia currently has more than 1,200 forest rangers, including 42 females, stationed in 20 protected areas across the country.

The work as forest rangers is quite challenging and risky, nevertheless, our male and female rangers are fulfilling their role very well, continued the ministry.
