Phnom penh: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a delegation of the American Cambodian Business Chamber (ACBC), led by its Founder and President Ms. Sokveasna Chan, for a courtesy call and discussions at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh on Sept. 10.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Ms. Sokveasna Chan briefed the Prime Minister on the purpose of the business delegation's visit, which was to explore investment opportunities in Cambodia. During their business visit, the delegation engaged in meetings and courtesy calls with leaders of relevant ministries and institutions of the Royal Government of Cambodia, as well as the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port.
The ACBC President commended the welcome and support from the relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions and shared information on investment potential in key sectors in Cambodia. ACBC member companies expressed keen interest in investing in logistics, agriculture, and furniture, aiming to strengthen business linkages between investors from the two countries and expand bilateral trade.
In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet warmly welcomed the ACBC founder and delegation to Cambodia, describing the business visit as a significant impetus for strengthening business linkages between Cambodia and the United States. The Prime Minister emphasized the considerable potential for expanding cooperation in trade and investment and expressed optimism about the future presence of Cambodian products in the U.S. market.
Furthermore, Samdech Thipadei highlighted the Royal Government's vision of transforming the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port into a regional logistics hub and its intention to enhance connectivity between the port and major ports in the United States.
