Battambang: The ASEAN Observation Team (AOT) conducted an inspection and observation this afternoon at Border Posts No. 52-53, situated in Kamrieng and Boeung Raing communes in the Kamrieng district of Battambang province, opposite Chanthaburi province in Thailand.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the inspection was facilitated by the Cambodian Liaison Group (CLG) of the Kingdom of Cambodia. H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, the Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence, shared this information and emphasized the Royal Government of Cambodia's commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional integrity and responsibility. The Secretariat of State of Border Affairs and the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) of Cambodia serve as the central coordinating bodies in this effort.
H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata further highlighted that the commitment is exercised with strict adherence to international law. This includes full respect for the principle of the immutable border and the Cambodia-Thailand international boundary, as delineated by the Indochina-Siamese Border Commission. The Royal Government places national interests at the forefront, particularly concerning the safeguarding of territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
