Pursat: The ASEAN Observer Team (AOT) on Friday conducted a mission to Pursat province to observe, verify, and report on the updated situation in the Chor 1 area of Veal Veng district, following the implementation of the ceasefire.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence, stated that the observation mission, facilitated by the Cambodian Liaison Group (CLG), took place at 9:00 a.m. This mission enables the AOT to assess conditions on the ground after the ceasefire came into effect.
The spokeswoman also reaffirmed Cambodia's firm commitment to fully respecting and implementing the ceasefire and related agreements. These include the Joint Declaration on the Peace Agreement between Cambodia and Thailand dated Oct. 26, 2025, the Joint Statement of the 3rd Special Meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) held on Dec. 27, 2025, and other relevant documents.
