Bridging Capital & Careers: IBCC Job Fair 2026 Opens 200 Roles for Cambodian Youth

Phnom penh: As Indian investment surges in the Kingdom, the Indian Business Chamber in Cambodia (IBCC) launched its 2026 Job Fair on Thursday, directly connecting 300 young Cambodians with 200 immediate job openings.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the event took place at the Sun and Moon Hotel on May 7, featuring 15 companies conducting on-the-spot interviews. This transformed a typical recruitment drive into a barometer of foreign investor confidence. The ceremony was presided over by Secretary of State H.E. Chea Kosal, who represented Labour and Vocational Training Minister H.E. Heng Sour. He praised the fair as a model for public-private teamwork.

H.E. Kosal highlighted the fair's role in contributing proactively to the Royal Government's priority of sustainable employment for youth. He noted the National Employment Agency (NEA) as a strategic partner for the private sector, using the fair to introduce career counseling and job registration services.

The Secretary of State also emphasized that the involvement of foreign business chambers like IBCC indicates strong faith in Cambodia's economic trajectory. He expressed gratitude towards the Indian business community for its operations and its commitment to maintaining labor market stability.

The job fair, offering roughly 200 careers across various sectors fueled by Indian capital, served as more than just a hiring event. It demonstrated how foreign direct investment is being translated into local opportunities, with the NEA set to enhance its cooperation with the Chamber for future talent pipelines.
