Cambodia’s National Assembly President Pays Tribute to Late Lao National Assembly President

Phnom penh: President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, Samdech Maha Rathsapheathikathipadei Khuon Sudary, has extended her heartfelt condolences to the National Assembly, Government, and people of the Lao People's Democratic Republic following the passing of H.E. Dr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane, President of the Lao National Assembly. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, in a condolence letter addressed to H.E. Ms. Southone Xayyachak, Vice-President of the Lao National Assembly, dated Aug. 9, Samdech Khuon Sudary expressed profound sadness over the passing of H.E. Dr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane and conveyed her condolences to the bereaved family and the Lao people. She described H.E. Dr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane as a dedicated statesman who devoted his life to public service and led the Lao National Assembly with visionary leadership, wisdom, and a strong commitment to national development and modernization. Samdech Khuon Sudary said his legacy would endure in the hearts of his compatriots and international fri ends, and that he would be remembered with deep respect as an extraordinary leader and a symbol of the traditional friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive strategic partnership between Cambodia and Laos. She also highlighted his invaluable contributions to strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, saying they would remain in the hearts and memories of both peoples. 'May H.E. Dr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane rest in eternal peace, and may the National Assembly and people of Laos find strength and comfort in the enduring memory of his service,' she said.
