Cambodia Expo Series 2026 Unveils Trade and Investment Prospects

Phnom penh: The Cambodia Expo Series 2026 commenced in Phnom Penh on August 26, offering a venue for businesses and investors to explore new partnerships, foster cooperation, enhance business relations, and broaden supply chains.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the three-day event, running from August 26 to 28, showcases a spectrum of sectors such as agriculture, livestock, aquaculture, food and beverages, pet products, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, laboratory equipment, cosmetics, and general consumer goods.

During the opening ceremony, H.E. Samheng Bora, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce, emphasized that the expo is a crucial platform for connecting investors, businesses, potential buyers, and consumers both locally and internationally. He highlighted its role in facilitating business matching and expanding international trade relations.

H.E. Samheng Bora expressed gratitude towards Minh Vi Exhibition and Advertisement Service Co., Ltd. and other stakeholders for organizing the event in Phnom Penh, building on the success of its previous eight editions. He encouraged participants to see Cambodia not just as a market for products and services but also as a partner for production, investment, and distribution, serving as a gateway to broader regional markets.

The Secretary of State urged Cambodian companies to leverage the Kingdom's free trade agreements, including those with China, the Republic of Korea, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as ASEAN and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). He also invited international investors to explore opportunities in agricultural processing technologies, cold-chain storage systems, pharmaceuticals, healthcare services, and digital logistics infrastructure.

Mr. Tan Monivann, Vice-President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, remarked that the exhibition offers a vital opportunity for businesses and investors to discover new partners, establish cooperation, and enhance business relationships. He noted that the event plays a significant role in making Cambodia's trade, agriculture, and industry sectors more competitive.
