Cambodia Signs Contract to Host Asian Youth Games 2031

Cambodia: Cambodia has signed a contract to host the 5th Asian Youth Games 2031, according to the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC).

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the NOCC, and H.E. Seng Vannak, Deputy Governor of Phnom Penh, were invited to attend the signing ceremony held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Jan. 26. H.E. Vath Chamroeun stated that the contract is a standard operating mechanism of organising the games, which divides responsibilities between the owner and the host, in line with the international sports regulations.

This contract also confirms and guarantees that the competing event will be organised and held smoothly, firmly and successfully for the 45 participating Olympic member countries. The NOCC Secretary General reaffirmed the Cambodian Olympic Movement's commitment to making most efforts in preparing qualifications to fulfil its obligations to make another historical record for Cambodia, as well as to congratulate Cambodia on becoming an upper middle-income country in 2030.
