Phnom Penh:Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, has extended her congratulations to H.E. Dr. Sonexay Siphandone on his recent election as President of the National Assembly of Laos.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Khuon Sudary highlighted the longstanding relationship between Cambodia and Laos, emphasizing their status as good neighbors and traditional friends. She noted that the strategic partnership between the two nations has been built on mutual respect, understanding, trust, and interest.
Khuon Sudary expressed confidence that the strong ties between the countries will continue to grow, benefiting both peoples. She looked forward to enhancing parliamentary cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral contexts to foster regional peace, prosperity, and the development of an ASEAN-centered regional architecture.
