Cambodian King Urges Support for Teachers on Teachers’ Day

Phnom Penh:King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia has called for increased support and appreciation for teachers, emphasizing their critical role in society.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the King's message was delivered on Teachers' Day, celebrated on October 5, 2026. He expressed joy in joining Cambodians to honor teachers' invaluable contributions across generations, both in religious and secular fields.

The King conveyed profound gratitude to teachers for their dedication to the restoration and development of Cambodian society through education. He highlighted the importance of teachers in providing knowledge and inspiration while instilling moral values in students, which are essential for human resource development and societal progress.
