Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia has sent a congratulatory message to H.E. Vương Đình Huệ, President of the 15th National Assembly of Viet Nam.
On behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Heng Samrin expressed his warmest congratulations to H.E. Vương Đình Huệ on his recent re-election as the President of the 15th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam on July 20, 2021 during the 1st Session.
“It is my firm belief that under Your Excellency’s wise and clear-sighted leadership of the Vietnamese legislature, the longstanding ties of friendship, good neighbourliness and broader cooperation between our two legislative bodies and countries will unquestionably deepen in the years ahead in the mutual interests of the two fraternal peoples,” he wrote in the congratulatory message dated Aug. 3.
Samdech Heng Samrin took the opportunity to extend his profound thanks to Viet Nam for the kind donation of thousands of facemasks to Cambodia to be used to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has plagued so many countries worldwide.
The Cambodian NA president also highly appreciated the joint efforts expended by the two countries’ governments in combating this pandemic through mutual close cooperation and medical assistance.
