Phnom penh: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has extended his congratulations to the Government and the people of Viet Nam on the occasion of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his sentiments in a message addressed to his Vietnamese counterpart, H.E. Le Minh Hung, as the 2nd of September approaches. He acknowledged the pride and joy of the Vietnamese people as they honor their national heroes whose sacrifices laid the foundation for Viet Nam's independence and continue to inspire future generations.
He highlighted Viet Nam's significant progress under the leadership of the Communist Party, emphasizing the country's economic growth, which exceeded 8 percent last year. This growth is seen as a step toward achieving Viet Nam's centenary goals of becoming an industrialized country by 2030 and a high-income, socialist nation by 2045.
The Prime Minister also praised the strong bilateral relationship between Cambodia and Viet Nam. He noted that the two nations have built enduring ties based on good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term stability. These ties have resulted in expanding cooperation across multiple fields, yielding benefits for both countries.
In his message, Samdech Thipadei expressed a desire to work closely with the Vietnamese leadership to further deepen their partnership and promote regional peace, stability, and prosperity. He concluded by looking forward to welcoming H.E. Le Minh Hung and Madam to Cambodia next month.
