Phnom penh: H.E. Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani, Honourable Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, arrived in Phnom Penh this morning for an official visit to Cambodia, set to last until February 5, 2026. The visit is at the invitation of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Senate.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during his visit, H.E. Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani, who is also the Founding Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference (ISC), and his delegation will be granted a Royal Audience with His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The schedule includes bilateral talks with Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, and courtesy calls on Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei KHUON Sudary, President of the National Assembly, and Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
This official visit aims to further strengthen the bonds of friendship, bilateral relations, and parliamentary cooperation between Cambodia and Pakistan. It is expected to advance Cambodia's parliamentary diplomacy agenda under the leadership of Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, promoting peace, stability, and sustainable development at both regional and global levels through dialogue and international cooperation.
