Trade Connection Focuses on Enhancing Cambodian Producers’ Global Competitiveness

Phnom penh: The Commercial Attach© of the Royal Embassy of Cambodia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in collaboration with the Khmer Social Development Association, organised an initiative on Feb. 1 called the Trade Connection. This event aimed to bridge the gap between Cambodian processed food producers and lucrative international markets.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Trade Connection meeting took place at the Khmer Association Market in Phnom Penh. It gathered Cambodian processed food producers and exporters with the goal of boosting exports to international markets, particularly targeting the United States and French markets.

The primary objective of the meeting was to enhance the capacity and competitiveness of Cambodian processed food products in international markets. Special emphasis was placed on improving product quality to meet international standards and market requirements, thereby preparing producers for export and expansion into new markets, especially the United States and France.

Additionally, the meeting aimed to strengthen business-to-business (B2B) linkages between producers and trading partners to create new opportunities for exporting Cambodian products to international markets.

The meeting also served as a platform to present and promote Cambodia's trade policies, incentive measures, and export standards, which are designed to support and encourage the sustainable growth of the private sector.
