Daun Keo:Takeo Minister of Post and Telecommunications Chea Vandeth met with 1,714 veterans and retirees in Takeo province to discuss welfare support and national development progress.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting was held at Daun Keo City Hall and included participants from Treang district and Daun Keo city. Chea Vandeth, who is the Honorary Chairman of the Cambodian Veterans Association in Takeo and Head of the Royal Government Working Group for the province, reinforced the Royal Government's commitment to enhancing the welfare of veterans, retirees, and their families.
During the event, the minister conveyed greetings from Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet. He highlighted the government's efforts to provide land for housing and agriculture, financial allowances, and special support during the Pchum Ben festival. Additionally, beneficiaries receive free healthcare through the National Social Security Fund.
Chea Vandeth also discussed national infrastructure and economic advancements, such as the construction of roads, bridges, hospitals, and schools. He outlined initiatives by the Ministry to enhance telecommunications services, establish 61 target primary schools, and develop 21 community technology centers at high schools for digital education.
In his concluding remarks, the minister encouraged veterans and retirees to mentor younger generations and focus on their personal health and well-being.
