COVID-19: Tally Jumps to Nearly 70,000 Cases with Over 800 New Infections

Cambodia’s COVID-19 tally stood at 69,608 with the detection of 812 new cases this morning, pointed out the Ministry of Health in a press release.

The same source showed that among the new infections, 279 were imported, and the rest were community cases related to the Feb. 20 outbreak.

Meanwhile, the ministry registered 740 newly recovered patients; the total number of cured cases in the Kingdom rose to 61,779.

Besides, 19 more people have lost their lives due to COVID-19; bringing the death toll to 1,168.

The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
