The Cambodia Investment Forum 2026 marked its inaugural year under the guidance and approval of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Chairman of the CDC. The forum aims to update investors on reforms and various investment facilitation measures, particularly those already conducting operations in Cambodia. As global uncertainties continue to rise, the forum will serve as a platform for sharing experiences and addressing challenges.
The forum also functions as a networking platform to identify and seize investment opportunities, including the expansion of projects and the formation of new partnerships. H.E. Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the role of the private sector, specifically businesspeople and investors, as crucial to economic growth. The Royal Government of Cambodia prioritizes private sector development as part of its socio-economic agenda.
The government continues to implement reforms through laws, strategies, and measures that create a conducive environment for business growth. The CDC is enhancing public service delivery through the "Single Window" mechanism and the Cambodia Investment Project Management system (cdcIPM) to facilitate investor engagement and service provision.
The CDC has also established a "Business Co-Creation" working group and is developing infrastructure at its headquarters to offer satisfactory investment services and information. Furthermore, under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister, the RGC is committed to combating online crimes with the "Law on Combating Technology-enabled Scams," effective since April 6, 2026.
H.E. Deputy Prime Minister encouraged active discussion at the forum, emphasizing the importance of feedback in improving Cambodia's investment climate. The goal is to create a resilient environment that supports long-term strategic partnerships, aligning with the country's economic vision for the future.
