Interior Ministry Reports Calm Situation along Frontline

Phnom penh: The Ministry of Interior of Cambodia this evening issued a press release, congratulating the Joint Statement of the 3rd Special Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) Meeting which resulted in a calm situation along the frontline.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the statement highlighted the peaceful conditions along the border following the meeting, which took place between representatives of Cambodia and Thailand.

The press release detailed that the discussions held during the GBC meeting were instrumental in easing tensions and fostering cooperation between the two nations. The meeting, which addressed various border-related issues, concluded successfully with both sides agreeing to maintain open communication and collaboration to ensure continued peace.

The Ministry emphasized the significance of such diplomatic efforts in maintaining stability along the border. The calm situation reported from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on December 27 is seen as a positive outcome of these negotiations, encouraging further dialogue and mutual understanding between Cambodia and Thailand.
