Japanese, Singaporean, Hong Kong Business Delegation Examines Investment Opportunities in Cambodia

Phnom penh: H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), held a working discussion with an international business delegation from Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong on August 19. The delegation included business partners of Bayon Heritage Holding Group and Signature Rice Co., Ltd.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting aimed to provide international business representatives a comprehensive understanding of Cambodia's investment potential. Discussions covered the country's investment incentive policies and facilitation measures implemented by the Royal Government of Cambodia. A significant focus was on exploring joint-venture opportunities in key sectors such as agro-industry, food processing, and agricultural produce processing, including paddy rice and cashew nuts.

The potential investments are anticipated to enhance the export of Cambodian products to regional and global markets. The delegation also investigated investment opportunities in infrastructure development and logistics systems, which are vital for strengthening Cambodia's supply chains and supporting economic growth.

Company representatives briefed H.E. Sun Chanthol on their business operations, products, specializations, investment backgrounds in Cambodia, and partnerships with Bayon Heritage Holding Group and Signature Rice Co., Ltd. They also outlined their plans and vision for expanding investment activities in Cambodia.

H.E. Sun Chanthol expressed appreciation for the international business community's interest in Cambodia's investment environment. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the Royal Government's commitment to creating a competitive and favorable business environment to attract investment. He assured that the CDC is prepared to provide necessary facilitation and support to qualified investment projects, aiding investors in realizing their business plans and contributing to Cambodia's socio-economic development.
