Phnom penh: The Korean Association in Cambodia has made a donation of 100 electric fans to the Ministry of Information to aid charitable efforts for frontline soldiers and displaced civilians along the nation's borders. The donation ceremony was held at the Ministry of Information headquarters, attended by Minister of Information H.E. Neth Pheaktra and Mr. Chung Myung Gyu, President of the Korean Association in Cambodia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the initiative received support from several South Korean entities, including the Hebron Academy, KIA Motors, and the Han Cam Scholarship Association. Minister Neth Pheaktra expressed gratitude to the Korean donors, highlighting the contribution as a gesture of solidarity. He noted that the donation reflects a spirit of friendship and a commitment to alleviating hardships faced by frontline troops and displaced citizens in border regions.
Mr. Chung Myung Gyu mentioned that the association, in collaboration with South Korean businesses and philanthropists, organised the donation to address the growing need among those affected by border instability. He expressed pride in partnering with the Ministry of Information to support the well-being of the Cambodian people, aiming to provide practical relief to those on the front lines and those displaced from their homes.
The Ministry confirmed that the fans will be distributed immediately to military outposts and displacement camps as part of its ongoing social and humanitarian mission.
