Molecor Eyes Cambodia Plant for High-Tech Pipe Production

Phnom penh: H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, recently met with a delegation from Molecor, a Spanish company known for its advanced pipes and fittings distributed in over 30 countries globally. The meeting focused on Molecor's interest in setting up a manufacturing plant in Cambodia to deliver high-tech solutions aimed at upgrading the country's water infrastructure and reducing leakage.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Minister Vanndy highlighted the significance of the water supply sector as both a public health priority and a catalyst for rural transformation and industrial development in Cambodia. He pointed out the ongoing challenges faced by many operators, particularly private rural ones, in securing funding for necessary upgrades and expansion efforts. The minister welcomed companies that offer innovation, advanced technology, and sustainable practices to support sector development and encouraged the introduction of financing options to aid Cambodia's water operators in modernizing their infrastructure.

Mr. Pattynama of Molecor expressed the company's intent to expand its reach in Southeast Asia, identifying Cambodia as a promising market due to its shift towards higher quality infrastructure. He emphasized Molecor's commitment to providing affordable and safe water solutions, underscoring the advantages of their patented PVC-O technology, which offers long-term cost efficiency through its durability, ease of installation, and improved hydraulic performance.
