Battambang:Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng, a member of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King and a lawmaker for Battambang province, presided over a ceremony to honor 90 high school graduates with motorcycles for achieving Grade A standings in the 2025-2026 academic year.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the recognition ceremony took place on September 27 at the Sangke Theatre in Battambang city. H.E. Sok Lou, Governor of Battambang province, noted that the national high school examinations conducted on August 10 proceeded smoothly, with most candidates passing.
The 90 top-scoring students came from 27 educational institutions across 12 cities and districts, comprising 20 public schools and 7 private institutions. Samdech Sar Kheng congratulated the high achievers and their families and offered encouragement to those who did not pass, urging them to continue their studies or consider vocational training.
He conveyed greetings from Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen to provincial authorities and educational stakeholders and emphasized the importance of human capital development under the Royal Government of Cambodia's "Pentagonal Strategy - Phase 1." This initiative aims to modernize education and align skills with national economic needs.
Samdech Sar Kheng advised the graduates to pursue lifelong learning, remain diligent in their higher education pursuits, and avoid negative influences. He warned against complacency and urged the youth to uphold civic duties, safeguard national peace, and avoid unauthorized political activities.
