Siem Reap:The Cambodian Minister of Tourism, H.E. Huot Hak, led the opening of a gala dinner at Bayon Temple in Siem Reap province as part of the G Adventures' GX Summit 2026 on September 27.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the event gathered more than 600 participants, including Mr. Bruce Poon Tip, Co-founder of G Adventures; H.E. Ngov Seng Kak, representing the Governor of Siem Reap; H.E. Chhay Sivlin, President of the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents; officials from the Ministry of Tourism and other relevant ministries; and delegates from G Adventures and the GX Summit 2026, as well as international guests from around the world.
The gala dinner, held during G Adventures' annual meeting, served as a platform for Cambodia to present its tourism potential and investment opportunities. Cambodia emphasized its safety, socioeconomic development, rich cultural heritage, and numerous temples and monuments, some of which are recognized as World Heritage sites.
Additionally, Cambodia showcased its distinctive cuisine, friendly people, warm hospitality, and appealing tourism destinations to the international audience. The aim was to establish long-term tourism partnerships with G Adventures, a leading international tourism company.
The event also aimed to enhance Cambodia's image globally and attract more international tourists in late 2026 and throughout 2027. Delegates attending the GX Summit 2026 expressed admiration for the illuminated beauty of Bayon Temple and their positive experiences in Cambodia, sharing images and videos that further promoted Cambodia's attractions worldwide.
