PM Hun Sen: CPP, a Symbol of Real Change in Cambodia

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen as the President of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) has declared that CPP is a symbol of real change in Cambodia.

In his address at the graduation ceremony of 4,566 students of Build Bright University, held at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said CPP is the only political party in the Kingdom that has led the change in the country, from zero since the collapse of Khmer Rouge regime to the current development.

Some political parties have said that they are a symbol of change in Cambodia, but in fact it is not, said the Premier, underlining, “CPP is the symbol of development and progress in Cambodia.”

Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the change in Cambodia can be easily noticed if we look at the buildings and many other achievements.

“From now on, we should dare to state clearly that CPP is a symbol of real change. We have already seen concrete changes, from the killing field to the revival, from civil war to peace, from a poor to a lower middle-income country, to a higher middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2050,” he said.

CPP has been founded in 1951 and has led Cambodia since 1979.
