Thmar da: Thai military forces have continued their armed aggression against Cambodia in the 5th Military Region, targeting Thmar Da commune, Veal Veng district, Pursat province.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, at 12:56 p.m., Thai forces used drones to disperse a large amount of toxic gas over the Thmar Da area. The Ministry of National Defence reported earlier assaults, showcasing a pattern of escalating confrontations in the region.
Further details from the Ministry reveal a sequence of aggressive actions by Thai forces across the region. At 9:02 a.m., bomb-dropping drones were deployed into the Prey Chan area. Continued shelling occurred in the Chouk Chey village area at 9:52 a.m., followed by artillery strikes in the Boeung Trakuon area at 10:10 a.m. Thai F-16 fighter jets dropped two bombs on the Pouy Samrong area, Preah Netr Preah commune, Banteay Meanchey province, at 11:28 a.m., and were observed flying over O'Beichoan commune and the Boeung Trakuon area shortly after, at 11:32 a.m. Reconnaissance drones were deployed at 12:06 p.m. to monitor areas behind Chouk Chey village.
The Ministry of National Defence emphasized that Cambodian forces remain resolute in defending against Thailand's invasion and safeguarding the nation's territorial integrity. Since December 7, Thai military operations have intensified, involving heavy weaponry, fighter jets, and toxic gas, leading to significant civilian casualties, destruction of infrastructure, and large-scale displacement.
