Thai Military Aggression Persists in Cambodian Provinces

Phnom penh: Today marks the sixth day since Thai military forces renewed their aggressive attacks on Cambodia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, with no sign of a reduction in their operations, according to H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the spokeswoman stated during a press briefing that the Thai side has repeatedly violated the ceasefire and the Joint Declaration signed by the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Thailand on October 26, 2025. The violations have continued with armed aggression against Cambodia as of this morning.

H.E. Ms. Maly Socheata provided updates indicating that Thai military forces have continued their aggressive attacks at multiple locations in Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, and Banteay Meanchey provinces, employing various types of weaponry.

The spokeswoman demanded that Thailand immediately cease all aggressive actions and stop spreading false information intended to distort the truth. She emphasized the need to end indiscriminate attacks, particularly on civilian communities and infrastructure, and to halt assaults that damage historical sites, which she highlighted as not only Cambodia's cultural assets but also part of the heritage of all humankind.
