Cambodia: Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a farewell call from H.E. Jo Scheuer, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Cambodia, at the Ministry this morning. The meeting marked the conclusion of Scheuer's mission in Cambodia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the farewell, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed sincere appreciation for the contributions and efforts of the United Nations Resident Coordinator. He highlighted Scheuer's role in fostering coordination among United Nations agencies in Cambodia and supporting the country's Sustainable Development Goals.
The Deputy Prime Minister also stressed the essential role of peace in driving national development. H.E. Jo Scheuer, in response, expressed optimism about Cambodia's ongoing progress and development.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the long-standing partnership between Cambodia and the United Nations, aligning with Cambodia's national development priorities.
