Phnom Penh:Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung commenced his two-day official visit to Cambodia on Friday, following an invitation from Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Vietnamese leader arrived at Techo International Airport around noon and was welcomed by Minister of Planning Bin Troachhey and other senior Cambodian officials. The Cambodian Ambassador to Vietnam, Touch Sopharath, and the Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia, Nguyen Minh Vu, were also in attendance.
During his visit, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung is scheduled to have Royal Audiences with King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk at the Royal Palace. He will also hold separate courtesy calls with Senate President Hun Sen and National Assembly President Khuon Sudary.
A bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Hun Manet is also planned, where the two leaders are expected to discuss strengthening the close relations between Cambodia and Vietnam, as well as expanding cooperation. They will exchange views on various regional and international issues of shared interest.
The visit aims to consolidate the cordial relations between the two countries, reinforce the bonds of solidarity, and reaffirm their commitment to further strengthen and deepen bilateral ties.
